Why Playing Time in High School Doesn’t Equal Exposure

Ready To Work Together? Book a call with our team to see what this looks like for your high school player

Most families think playing time in high school equals exposure…but that’s a big mistake.

I’m Evan Mendoza, former 7-year pro, and I help high school players get recruited.

Just because your son is starting doesn’t mean college coaches are watching. Unless he’s at a nationally ranked program, high school games won’t bring real exposure.

Coaches only show up to see specific players…and often leave early. Real exposure starts with direct outreach: emails, social media, and getting on their radar.

Coaches can’t recruit who they don’t know exists. If your son wants to play college ball, he has to market himself.
